A mass of Clarkia blooms and Rainbow Swiss Chard
Native annuals, like this mass of blooming Clarkia, are easily grown from seed with great impact, yet are underused in landscape designs. In designing plantings, we plan for succession by using annuals to fill in while slower perennials and shrubs are becoming established.
We routinely mix in edibles with our ornamental plantings when appropriate, such as the Rainbow Chard pictured here, or often, berries, currants and fruit trees.
